Do-it-yourself -- Little Minion

I always keep this boxes or the containers which can be re-used, but after sometime I throw them without utilising it. Sometimes my hubby laughs by stating: " how big or small the place you may live in.... You will always want a big, spacious junk area.."..& I totally agree with me. I have variety of re-useable  stuff with me...
After the Minion movie, it's a crazy hit among the kids & with us adults too. So, last week when I got this Pringles Chips box, I already had in mind, how to use it back. My little boy adored it, and saw his Dad proudly, how Mumma made this little minion for him :)

Things required:
Pringles box or empty toilet roll or round hollow shape
Yellow paper
Blue paper
Black paper
White paper
Red sketch pen
Black pen
A pair of small eyes
Scissors
Fevicol/glue

Procedure:
Take a clean box, cut yellow paper which can cover the whole box , cut & apply glue and paste sealing the edges well.
Take blue paper, it's the dress of minion. Cover it 50% by making shape of I( but the standing line like 2-3inches broad. Cut & paste.
Take black paper, cut around 1/2 inch and paste in between blue dress & top.
Cut 2 small round from black for eyes and 2 more smaller in white. Cut & paste. Make eyes on white or paste readymade eyes.
Make smile from red sketch pen.
For hairs: take black paper, around 1" by 2" .  Cut small strips till 1and half inch and paste.
So, the little minion is ready to flaunt. Now store anything in it.... Brushes, pencils, pen or give it to your baby to store his little stuff. :)
Hope you all like it.

The big 3 "M"

Few days back, actually months back, my sister in law( devrani) asked me a question: Bhabhi how have your Life changed after marriage & after baby?  Since I was making my baby eat something and change clothes for evening park time... I casually replied her just to get away from the question... That I will reply little later... But Real me knew, I was avoiding, avoiding a real big question.

Isn't this life, or isn't this life I wanted.
The 3M's are Maternity, Marriage & Me.
Life comes with pros & cons, ups & down and definitely with lots of surprises.
Marriage is one thing that we choose taking luck aside with us. These days the style of marriage has changed, but few things remain unchanged. How well educated or on a high post or just a well mannered lady one may be but few things are expected, just like few things are expected from son-in- law.i Adjustment is the key word. You wish you travel 'x' place, While he want to travel 'y' place.... Either of you compromise and end up enjoying vacation. Avoiding situation always bring more problems and Respect to indifferences is most beautiful secret of Life.
While I write this, my baby sleeps near my and I yawn & wants to sleep too....since I have to wake up early & get baby ready for school & pack his lunch too... Thinking a while ago I was talking to a friend about never growing up( if you read, you will realise i wrote about u), about the carefree life we have lived once but back to reality, back to Life...
On weekend my baby said he wanted to have Noodles, while I was craving for some Mexican but... But... Yes my eyes felt proud and my lips where smiling when I saw him juggling & playing with noodles before eating them.
And I proudly says I enjoy the little things I do....these things make me feel complete. When tucked in between little arms, It's the pure joy of life.

So this is Life... Make it beautiful!

Dear Sister-in-law
Hope you have got the correct answer to the question u have asked...( thank you for suggesting Post Title).

Vanilla Butter Cookies

From long I have been thinking, how to preserve the yummy recipes, the ones which I try & comes out perfect. So, finally I thought why not here....at least the awesome recipes can be saved here...which I have tried. Recipes are from various sources....but I will try before posting here.... :)              So, after long time....the first recipe I am noting down is simple Vanilla Butter Cookies.....but let me tell you, it's tricky to get the perfect texture too......anyways I am sure....just like me ..even you will enjoy making it & eating it with hot cuppa coffee or Icey chilled cold coffee... :)

 Ingredients:-
 All purpose flour- 1 cup
 Unsalted butter- 1/2 cup
 Powdered sugar- 1/4 cup
Vanilla extract/ essence- 1/2 teaspoon

For Chocolate
Semi sweet chocolate or 2 tbsp of chocolate chips.
Microwave it, stir in between. Make cone, just like you make it for mehandi, pour chocolate inside & lock it with rubber band.

Method:-
Take soften butter add powdered sugar and beat till creamy & smooth with electric beater.... If using hand beater ask ur man to help you :)
Add vanilla extract & mix.
Add flour in 3 times and just mix it slowly ....with a spoon....till everything gets mixed up properly.
Drop the mixture in plastic wrap & slowly roll it & give shape and chill it in refrigerator for 1/2 an hour.
Gently roll & cut ( circles, square, triangle).
Preheat the oven till you do the above procedure..
Use parchment paper / butter paper .....since I didn't had... I didn't used any..
Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes( different oven have different timings)
Let the cookies cool & then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
Once, it's completely cooled, make designs from the chocolate & refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Enjoy!!!!

NOTE...... Now comes the cheat sheet ;) yes that's how I made it...
1st- I used 60:40 ratio of wheat flour: all purpose flour
2nd- I used half of butter given in the above recipe & 1/2 of chilled milk....
So, what you say....isn't this healthy ??? I am sure you will agree & eat 2 instead of 1.
Would love to hear, what you think about it, try it & surely let me know .... :)
