V for Valentine, V for Venice!

Just few more minutes & it will be that day... "A day for love", "Lover's Day" .! But think again, Do you love each other on this day only? Are other 364 days doesn't matter to your love?? If that so.... What about all those who are heart-broken... Will they find someone till this day?? And on the last note what about all those who are singles?? Don't they love anybody.?? Why to restrict yourself for celebrations just for particular day.....

Anyways... lets not get into more details... Like everyone ....i also enjoy this day(who doesn't like extra pampering). So, when i thought of doing a post i really could not think more than pink & red... Red is color of love.I may not-be-a -die-heart-romantic type of girl.... but i like all the thing pink(just like all other normal girls).
So, these pictures are from the most romantic city on earth... Yes its, Venice!

It's a beautiful place to go atleast once in a lifetime.... that gondola ride in canal between those beautiful balconies is such a romantic feeling.....though the smell may disturb u (only if you have doggy nose like me)... but other than that....its beautiful... Sunset was the highlight of my day trip to Venice from Milan.

The houses color were so bright & happy

Neon & Me!

Custom-made..... everybody loves this word.. isn't it??

Oh yes, even i love it...especially when i design, you can check here (love for custom-made)... & when it turns out be awesome(read here compliments flowing). I love prints, texture, color ...mixing them is what i enjoy. Sometimes my tailor just pat on his head when he see's me.... ;) .... with small fabrics, extra blouse pieces, embroidered borders, little tidbits, laces, sarees(never-ever worn or hardly worn), embroidered stuff back from my designing days. Thank to mom(she such a sweetheart) who actually have kept all the garbage(read here fabrics ;)) & when i need she just pack n courier it.....because i know..if i get all the stuff at once...all will be lying like that only(blame laziness here)...i might loose interest in all that stuff.

Anyways..The neon anarkali fabric was a saree which i just wore once for an hour. The blue intricate jaali work was done by karigar almost decade ago....i thought i will make blouse out of it... but it was all lying like that. Duppatta has crochet work done all the four side which was purchased from Kolkata .
Now,let me stop all the blah blah here.... enjoy the pictures..
Stay tuned for more customized stuff :)

Blue intricate design(jaali work) done by hand

Blue paisely brocade fabric + material for lining & churidar-only purchased

Shoe- Inc.5

Pictures are from my phone camera as we were running late as usual....{but with toddler around, this excuse works always ;)}
Do let me know what you think about it :)
Till next time ...

Orange Berry!

My first guest blog in Aditi's blog So-Saree as part of her month long first-blog-anniversary celebration.!

A very Happy Blog-Anniversary to you Dear!

"So-Saree" is not only about saree but many other stuff.. but here we are talking about Saree. I was excited when Aditi asked me to do a guest post, that too featuring something that i am very fab of it, it can't get better. Saree which is universally accepted as the most sexiest piece of clothing. I too feel its gives the oomph factor... if only worn in proper way! It has a craze among all age groups..Every woman chooses the best saree to wear in different occasions. Some wear it everyday while others keep it for occasions. I am the one who enjoyed saree from my early teens. This 6-meter fabric has always impressed me on occasions. So, draping it is no-big-issue for me. Be it cotton, chiffon, net, crepe, tussar, silk, chanderi, georgete  i like the feel of fabrics n every fabric has its own grace when draped.
The majestic saree has undergone little changes over the course of time. Like-
Dhoti sarees- instead of petticoat/saree skirt wear dhoti & narrow the pallu.
Lehanga Sarees- It's a perfect mix of modern & contemporary style. It's stylish, ready to wear & hassle free!

Energizing the saree revival are a handful of young designers, among them Masaba Gupta, Shiven & Naresh, Gaurav gupta and Amit Agarwal. They are reinterpreting the millennia-old grab for a new generation of stylish women.

I am wearing a 6-meter piece which i got from Jaipur, beautiful gota work done over georgette fabric by the local craftsmen. Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as i enjoyed writing it.!
Just noticed this is my first outfit post of this year...!
Love
Nisha.
